Steering Committee for Health Sector Reforms notified  |

The Planning & Development Department, Government of the Punjab has issued the Notification for the constitution of a high powered Steering Comittee on Health Sector Reforms. The Steering Committee has been given a clearly defined mandate and Terms of Reference. It would be expected to lead, coordinate and monitor all aspects of the Health Sector Reforms in Punjab. | Fact finding mission for PRMP-II |

The PDSSP collaborated with the PRMP in the organization of a Fact-finding Mission for PRMP-II. The PD, PDSSP made a presentation during the session on Service Delivery which encompassed the challenges and constraints impending effective and efficient service delivery.

over poverty in Pakistan |

Poverty reduction and lack of implementation
capacity remain major challenges to Pakistan and require
a lot of effort and strategies in the right direction,
according to President Asian Development Bank Haruhiko
Kuroda. "The current state of poverty in Pakistan is
serious and it concerns the ADB," he said in an interview
with Dawn here on Monday.

said on Monday Pakistan was focused on socio-economic
development of its people and pursuing a series of mega-projects
to translate recent economic gains into improvement
in the lives of the common man. He was speaking to Asian
Development Bank President Haruhiko Kuroda, who had
